Frost presents a strong design element to birds in flight. The subject matter is in movement, and the action is greatly enhanced by the artist's use of oil and acrylic in the background. With a kaleidoscope semblance, Frost's paintings look as though they contain lighthearted and reminiscent fabric swatches pulled out of the seventies, or modern day culinary presentations of sauces used for decorative garnishes. These paintings of energetic birds give their subjects a comic book like action to them. The focus and the strong atmospheric backgrounds seem to stamp themselves into memory.
