Live painting has been enjoying an awakening here in Santa Cruz, and the Animated Canvas is the best place to see some of the best local artists paint live.
Hence the name, this night life event is centered around art that is moving, featuring painters; Famous Jamas, Telopa, Brxnt Adxms, Jesse Iris, Pepe Nunez, Kemic One, Dag Weiser, Spencer Jones, and JME from the Cardboard Spaceship. We have live ambient looping by Loop.Pool, spoked word by Go Mom & Friends, fire dancing by Ladies of Fire, and a burlesque show by The Box Sets and The Sin Sisters. This is the second Animated Canvas, and we'll be doing another, bigger, Animated Canvas four times a year, once every season. |
